ABOUT
"Brynn Capella is a self-taught Chicago handbag designer. Inspired by her laid-back SoCal roots, bohemian fashion sense and love of color, she started this journey in her small 1 bedroom LA apartment. She still believes in hand sketching all her designs and embraces contrast stitching and details to allow her design features to stand out not blend in. Her collection is best described as coastal cool meets city chic for everyday life. Her beautiful Italian leather American-made handbags effortlessly transition with you
from day-to-night and season-to-season."

WORKING WITH THE FACTORY
Part of my internship included working with the factory that produces Brynn Capella's handbags. They create prototypes and then Brynn makes corrections to them before they go into production. I learned a lot about the process and how to work with a factory to get the costs you are looking for.

PROCESS
Some of our tasks included doing research on future trends, creating mood boards and sketching ideas. We also were required to make technical sketches and bag guides for the factory production process.

FINDING THE PERFECT FIT
Each season Brynn makes a trip to an Italian leather supplier. Together we filtered through hundreds of leather swatches comparing costs and finishes to come up with the best fit for the next season. Other tasks we completed included modeling the bags, styling photo shoots, and writing a blog updating Brynn Capella customers on the progress we made throughout the summer.
